Friends and Citizens,
Please mark Saturday June 13, 2015 on your calendars (rain date June 14) from 11:30 am to 4 pm for an exciting Flag Day Festival in downtown Somerville, NJ.
Our mission is to revitalize the Flag Day tradition with an entertaining and patriotic celebration for the family built around musical performances, art, live demonstrations and displays, and storytelling that unites children of all backgrounds, fosters pride in our great country, and inspires new generations with a love of freedom.
We plan to make the festival fun for children by combining the best features of a musical stage show including an American Flag Day singing contest, a (stationary) parade of interesting military and rescue vehicles, and a street fair full of exhibitors and vendors in one red, white, and blue festival with food and prizes.
And we plan to honor veterans at the Festival, so please reach out to all veterans to attend this event.
